How to Reach Anjuna Beach, Goa

From Airports: Anjuna Beach is 43km from Goa Dabolim International Airport (GOI) and 28km from Manohar International Airport (GOX)

 ·    Taxi: Pre-paid taxi services are available right outside the airport. This is the most convenient option as it offers direct access to Anjuna.

 ·    Car Rental: Several car rental agencies are available at the airport if you prefer driving yourself to Anjuna.

 ·    Bus: There are bus services from the airport to Panaji (the state capital), from where you can catch another bus to Anjuna. This is the most economical option but also the most time-consuming.

From Railway Station: The nearest railway stations to Anjuna Beach are:

 ·    Thivim Railway Station: About 19 km away. Thivim is the most convenient station for those traveling from Mumbai, Pune, or North India.

 ·    Madgaon Railway Station: Located around 50 km away, this station is more accessible from the southern parts of India. From these stations, you can take a taxi or a bus to reach Anjuna. Taxis are readily available outside the stations, and several bus services run frequently to Anjuna and other parts of North Goa.

By Road: Anjuna Beach is well-connected by road to major cities in Goa and neighbouring states:

 ·    From Panaji: The drive from Panaji to Anjuna is about 18 km, taking roughly 30 minutes via the NH66 and the Mapusa - Anjuna - Chapora Road.

 ·    From Mumbai: It is approximately a 10-hour drive to Anjuna, covering around 500 km via the NH66. This scenic route along the Western coast is popular among road trippers.

 ·    Local Buses: There are frequent state-run and private bus services connecting Anjuna with other areas of Goa. Buses are a reliable and affordable option for getting around locally.

These routes and modes of transport provide convenient options whether you're arriving from within India or from international destinations.

 

Best Time to Visit Anjuna Beach

The ideal time to visit Anjuna Beach is from November to February when the weather is cool and pleasant, perfect for beach activities and exploring the area. This period avoids the heavy monsoons and the extreme heat of summer. 

The best time of day to visit is either in the early morning for a peaceful beach experience or late afternoon leading into the evening to catch the spectacular sunset and enjoy the lively night scene.
