When holidaying at the Club Mahindra resort at Naldehra, one of the signature activities you must experience is the Blue Pines Trail.
The story of the Blue Pines Trail goes back to the days of the British Raj. During the days when the British ruled India, guests of Lord Curzon would often frequent the golf course at Naldehra. In fact, when you are staying at the resort at Naldehra, it tops the list of places to see at Naldehra. Coming back to the story, Lord Curzon and his guests would travel in a Tonga and take a certain route amidst forests to reach the golf course. This route is known as the Blue Pines Trail. Today the trail has been reduced to a very slim path, but it is still the very path that the Tonga traversed. The trail ends near an ancient temple near the Naldehra Golf Course. Now it is mostly used by local villagers.
The Blue Pines Trail is so picturesque, you will be forgiven if you move at a snail’s pace. You will be accompanied by an expert naturalist who will explain the various Do’s and Don’ts for your safety. The naturalist will also throw light on the rich natural splendour around. The lush green foliage makes it an excellent spot for a leisurely hike with awe-inspiring views of mountains and vales beyond. The tall, slender and graceful pines and deodars envelop you in a magical space and you will thank yourself for choosing to explore the Blue Pines Trail.
